A Rider College graduate in Business Administration, Steve's business career began with Tandy Corporation's Radio Shack where, as a sales manager, he managed to implement the use of personal computer's into the entire Jersey City school system. He likewise played a key role in saving Radio Shack's downtown Manhattan store, boosting sales to record levels during his five-year tenure. By founding the Mark Stephens Corporation in 1982, Steve explored further business opportunities in the garments industry through the manufacture and sale of leather goods to retail and specialty stores. As president of the company, he spearheaded in 1991 one of the first joint venture groups of American companies to the newly formed Russian Republic. In 1995 he formed STX International Trading Company, an import/export firm which sold and distributed specialty and branded consumer goods worldwide. Multimillion dollar deals included exporting snowboards and footwear to Japan, pharmaceuticals to Russia, hosiery to Canada, and t-shirts to England. Steve is a creative thinker whose record of success earned him honorary memberhip in 1997's Who's Who among outstanding corporate executives.
