A graduate of the University of Michigan, Samuel joined The Blau & Berg Company in 2002 and created a retail services division which stands apart in New Jersey’s crowded field of retail specialists. Samuel has successfully brokered over 24 bank deals from Bergen County to Monmouth County with nine different banks, including J.P. Morgan Chase, HSBC, Wachovia, Commerce Bank, Valley National Bank, Washington Mutual, and Capital One Bank (formerly North Fork Bank).

In 2005 Samuel began working closely with Capital One Bank and brokered 12 deals, amounting to about half of their total expansion in the state.

In 2007, having developed a reputation as a retail banking specialist, Samuel landed the exclusive representation for Washington Mutual for all of New Jersey and Rockland County, NY. Other deals have included sites for drug stores, gas/convenience store chains, child daycare centers, dollar stores and restaurants.

In 2008 (during one of the toughest real estate markets), CoStar recognized Samuel as one of the top commercial brokers in the United States and awarded him the Power Broker Award for Northern New Jersey.
